Rosie's top 10 places to get your Fitness Fix in Canggu, Bali

Hey beauties, I'm a huge fan of moving the body and well, keeping sane through physical activity! Over the past 11 years based in Canggu, I have watched with my very eyes the Fitness Craze come in HOT. 6 years ago I used to drive 25 minutes each way to Seminyak to get to a Gym class, now there is 25 Gyms within 5 minutes of my villa. Wild.

So, I thought it would be fun to also share some of my favorite fitness spots in Canggu. This little slice of paradise isn’t just known for its beaches and chill vibes, it’s also the perfect place to stay fit and healthy. So, if you're ready to sweat and tone up, here are some of my top fitness & Yoga studios in Canggu.

1. Zin Studio, Jl Nelayan, Canggu

Located close to the heart of Canggu, just a short walk from Batu Bolong Beach, Zin is the perfect spot for those who want to blend fitness and zen vibes. Here, you can enjoy yoga, pilates, and even dance classes in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The studio's lush greenery and open design help you reconnect with nature as you unwind. It’s never too crowded, making it a serene spot to reset after a long day.

2. Power & Revive, Berawa & Canggu (Various Locations)

Nestled along the bustling streets of Berawa, Power & Revive is known for its high-energy atmosphere. Whether you're into HIIT or just want to burn some serious calories, this place has you covered. It’s super convenient, located near popular cafes like Nude. The sleek, modern space fills with an intense vibe, and their classes are small enough for personal attention but packed with energy. Trust me, you’ll leave feeling revived!

3. Desa Seni, Berawa

The place I began my Yoga journey almost 12 years ago! Desa Seni holds a very special place in my heart for its beautiful relaxed ambience, traditional architecture and amazing Yoga Teachers. Set amongst the beautiful lush gardens & Organic Vege Garden (Desa Seni Yoga resort is set on converted Rice Paddies that still the utilise the traditional water flow systems from growing Rice) They have 2 beautiful traditional Joglo's with daily classes from 7.15am to 4pm. A range of Western & Indonesian teachers. Sadly their beautiful resort part is moving to central Bali (Which I completely understand, they first opened when Canggu was all Rice Paddies and now they're surrounded by beach clubs!) we hope that they will continue to open this magical space daily for Yoga Classes.

4. Empowered Yoga, Pantai Berawa

A hidden gem on Jalan Pantai Berawa, Empowered Yoga is where you’ll find spiritual vibes while working on your flexibility. The studio is airy and calming, surrounded by bamboo and nature, which adds to the tranquil, empowering experience. It’s perfect for those looking to escape the busy-ness of central Canggu, while still close enough to pop in after a beach stroll. Check out Empowered Yoga on Instagram here.

5. Surya Gym, Perenan

Located just up the road from Samadi Market, Surya Gym offers a more traditional gym atmosphere with top-notch equipment. The space is spacious, and even during peak times, you won’t have to wait long for machines. The motivating coaches and friendly atmosphere make it easy to stay consistent with your workouts. Plus, their weightlifting area is unmatched in Canggu.

6. Pulse Pilates, Echo Beach

Pulse Pilates, situated near Echo Beach, is the place for chic vibes and a clean, minimal aesthetic. It’s perfect for Pilates lovers who prefer intimate class sizes and personalized instruction. Their attention to detail, from the airy studio design to the professional instructors, will make you feel like you’re working out in luxury. You’ll definitely leave with a stronger core and a refreshed mind.

7. Maja Studio, Batu Bolong

Tucked away on a quiet street near Pantai Batu Mejan, Maja Studio is a little haven of peace in the heart of Canggu. The interior is stunning, filled with warm, earthy tones, and natural light that sets the perfect ambiance for yoga or fitness classes. It’s never overly busy, which allows the instructors to give personal attention and create a comfortable environment for all levels. You’ll feel right at home here.

8. The Practice, Batu Bolong

Another stunning Yoga Shala, located down a sneaky side street off the popular Batu Bolong Shopping Street... You would never know it was down here, yet when you are in the space you feel like you are on top of the world & in Yogi heaven. Owned by Long-time Bali based, Australian Octavio Salvado, The Practise focusses on teaching the traditional methodology behind the Yoga Practise & breathwork to enhance your physical practise. If you are even remotely interested in learning about 'Yoga' more than just movement, I can promise you that even 1 class here you will feel empowered and eager to learn more. A huge Shala that can fit 100 people. Nik's Yin Yoga classes are NOT to be missed! (Especially his 2 hour or 4 hour classes on a Sunday!

9. Nirvana Fitness, Pantai Berawa

Nirvana Fitness, conveniently located in Pererenan, offers outdoor boot camps with a view! If you love training with a breeze and a scenic backdrop, this is the spot for you. The space is designed for those who thrive on an outdoor challenge, yet it’s laid-back enough to enjoy Bali's nature. It’s also a great way to meet other fitness enthusiasts in a friendly, community-driven environment.

10. Canggu Studio, Raya Canggu

Canggu Studio, located just up from popular cafe Crate in their new huge space on Raya Canggu, Canggu Studio is perfect for anyone who loves variety in their workouts. From high-intensity cardio to pilates and even dance, there's something for everyone. The vibe is always upbeat, and the natural, breezy feel of the studio keeps the energy flowing. It’s a popular spot, but classes are scheduled so well that it never feels too packed... And there is something for everyone on their daily schedule! Whether you're looking to break a sweat or wind down with a stretch, Canggu Studio has a class to match (Including Adult Ballet!).
