Who better to let you in on the hot spots and must do's in a new area than a resident local? While I've visited Florida many many moons ago, I would say my time there resonated more with.... ah hem.... drinking too many mojito's and long sandy nights partying. And while South Beach is 100% the spot to drink, party, get up to mischief and nude midnight swims, I'm dying to go back and explore more of Florida (And see more in the daylight). For those of us ready to explore this State, we asked our lunacita Natalie Zacek what her top five MUST visit spots in Florida are. Here goes!
When you find good coffee, you gotta share! I do not wanna spend $5 on a fancy latte just to figure out it is not even good. Hopefully, you can go to this beachy coffee shop and try my favorite order OR just try out the flavor somewhere else.
Ready Set Yo: This cute coffee shop is tucked away in the little beach town, Indian Rocks Beach.
Coffee Order: Caramel cold brew with coconut syrup, cream, and extra ice. It’s only $3.25 and so yummy!
I live closer to the gulf side of Florida so the beaches I go to don’t have waves. They do have beautiful shells and clear water :)
My favorites: Siesta Key beach, Indian Rocks, and Anna Maria Island!
Siesta Key: THE prettiest water
Indian Rocks: Free parking & nice sand
Anna Maria Island: Place to hang enos in the water!
If you know me, you know I love a good steal for clothes. It is easy to get discouraged from thrifting in your same town. What I like to do, is search yelp for surrounding thrift stores when I visit a beach or I am on vacation.
TIP #1: I always search for goodwills
TIP #2:make sure you don’t go to furniture stores etc.
Tea Largo in Lakeland has the YUMMIEST acai bowls and boba tea. The inside was recently remodeled and has lots of seating with the cutest tables and decorations.
If you are looking for a fun vacation destination, MIAMI! I visited Miami earlier this year for spring break. It has such a fun atmosphere, beautiful water, fun beach town, people!
Coffee: Joe the Juice or ALL DAY
Beach: South Beach
I am so happy to live in the sunshine state. Whether you come here for fun, vacation, or school, these are my favorite things to do!
