At Luna & Rose, we truly believe sharing, exchanging, debating are the best ways to grow together. That's why, to celebrate Earth Day, we're introducing you to our favourite people who inspire and teach us everyday thanks to their advice. Kate Hall is definitely part of that list, as we love reading her 'What I learned this week' posts, updating us on everything we need to know to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible.
To get to know her a little better, we asked her a few questions:

- Where abouts do you currently call home?
Red Beach, New Zealand.
- What’s your favourite part of having such a loyal following?
I have awesome chats everyday about all sorts of topics, I have people to ask for advice whenever I need it, and support to call on for problems or general wins that we can celebrate together! It's also super heartwarming and fueling when I receive messages about my followers making brilliant planet-focused decisions/habits because they learnt something from me - this makes my day.
- Who’s your favourite artist and why? (Musician, painter, designer, anyone!)
Mumford and Sons are my absolute favourite band! I've listened to them ever since I was an early teen. They're emotive, folky, talented, and allow me to listen to their music and get lost in another world (which looks like as stomping barn dance haha).
- Your favourite city in the world?
I loved Leiden, Netherlands.
- How about your favourite beach?
Red Beach: The beach I visit daily (often twice a day)
- 5 things you can’t live without… go!
My animals, my House of Marley bluetooth speaker, my english breakfast tea, my bike, and my compost bin.
- What is your favourite quote?
You can't change the world, but you can change the world for one person.
- What is your best Eco Tip to share with others?
Think before you do: this will allow your mindset to change and all of the eco-habits to flow.
- If you could say one thing to our Mother Earth, what would it be?
You're breathtaking, you're constant, and you're what I fight for everyday.
- What’s one cause that you would want people to rally behind and why?
I'm super passionate about eradicating period poverty in all areas of the world, but particularly locally in New Zealand. Many women cannot manage their periods and have to miss out on education/work/being part of society during their period. This spirals into a complex range of issues. I fully support campaigns like The Good Fund and companies like My Cup NZ who fight against period poverty in New Zealand in such a proactive way.
