Why gemstones? It’s a great Question!
After 11 years of designing beautiful & meaningful pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, all from Recycled Sterling Silver & Solid Gold, the latest ‘Earthline’ collection is something new for Luna & Rose. But for Rosie, the founder of Luna & Rose, nature has always been the starting point….
Long before there was a jewellery brand, there was a little girl happiest outside - building castles from sticks and leaves, painting rocks, and endlessly hunting for shells along the beach. The textures, colours and tiny treasures found in nature captured her imagination early on, and that sense of curiosity never really left.
It’s why nature continues to shape so much of what we do at Luna & Rose.
When Rosie feels creatively stuck or overwhelmed by the pace of the digital world, she returns to the elements. A walk by the ocean, time in the garden, the colours of stone and sand, it’s often where new ideas quietly begin again. You’ll see those influences woven through our collections: organic shapes, earthy tones and names inspired by the natural world.
Even our clothing follows this philosophy. Many pieces are dyed with plants, created in natural fibres like linen and organic cotton, and designed to move with you through warm days, ocean swims and slow island afternoons.
Our jewellery has always been designed with this same spirit in mind, pieces to wear out in the world, in the sun and salt air, layered over sun-kissed skin and taken along on adventures.
With Earthline, we’ve taken that connection one step further by bringing a part of nature directly into the jewellery itself.
Natural stones carry something special. No two are identical. Their colours shift slightly, their patterns vary, and each bead holds its own quiet character & connection, shaped slowly by the earth over time.
Our Earthline collection includes a variety of Gemstones, each rich with meaning & connection. We have:
Tiger’s Eye
A stone of courage and protection, Tiger’s Eye is believed to bring confidence, grounding energy and the strength to move forward with clarity.
Peach Moonstone
Peach Moonstone carries a soft, nurturing energy associated with intuition, emotional balance and the gentle power of feminine strength.
African Turquoise
Often called the Stone of Evolution, African Turquoise is believed to inspire growth, positive change and the courage to embrace new paths.
Pearls
Long associated with wisdom and calm, Pearls symbolise purity, emotional balance and the quiet strength that comes from within.
Unakite
Unakite is known as a stone of harmony, believed to support emotional healing, balance the heart and encourage gentle personal growth.
Sodalite
A stone of truth and clarity, Sodalite is thought to encourage honest expression, intuition and calm, rational thinking.
Labradorite
Labradorite is often called the stone of transformation, believed to spark creativity, strengthen intuition and protect your energy.
In a world that feels increasingly fast and digital, we’re instinctively drawn back to this kind of texture. Colour that isn’t manufactured. Materials that feel grounded. Pieces that don’t match perfectly.
Natural stone jewellery brings depth to your stack in a way metal alone can’t. It adds softness, dimension and story.
And practically? It also solves the layering dilemma.
If you’ve ever felt like your jewellery stack looked a little flat or unfinished, stone layering chains are often the missing piece. They introduce contrast, break up gold or silver, and instantly make your look feel more styled, without trying harder.
