WHO: Medusa is an apotropaic symbol in Greek Mythology, used to protect from and ward off negative energy. Her hair of snakes and reptilian skin are symbolic of the natural cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Snakes are used due to their shedding of skin, their rebirth to a new skin. This is the power which must be reigned in by the patriarchal Greek gods, for it represents a total control over the natural cycle.

DESIGN
Every piece begins with a thoughtful design, often inspired by nature & travel.
Luna & Rose Founder Rosie, spends hours sketching her thoughts & ideas to bring her unique jewelry concepts to life. This is a process that is constantly 'in progress' as she doesnt focus on traditional seasons of fashion.
WAX
Using traditional wax carving techniques, our talented Wax-smiths carve Rosie's 2D designs into 3D wax forms. This is a fascinating process that can take weeks in itself to perfect the shapes & intricate details of the hand-drawn designs.
Made is our head Wax carver who we have been working with for over 7 years!
GOLDSMITH
Once the wax form has been finalised & set into a master mould, our skilled Goldsmiths handcraft each piece with precision, refining & polishing the solid metal to create timeless, high-quality jewelry.
All of our Solid Gold pieces are handcrafted in New Zealand & shipped globally.
