St. Christopher was supposedly born to a heathen king from the land of Canaan and resolved to serve only the strongest and bravest people. He was said to be a man of extraordinary size and strength, bearing a height of up to 7 to 12 feet tall!
On St Christopher's journey, he one day met a hermit who told St. Christopher that because of his great size he could please God by carrying people across a dangerous river. St. Christopher did so, in service to God. One day, he carried a child across the river and noticed that the child got heavier and heavier. The child told him that he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and the one who created the world. The child announced himself to St. Christopher as Christ, his king. That is how St. Christopher became the Patron Saint of travellers.
Saint Christopher today known as the patron saint of travellers, drivers, sailors, storm, bachelors, gardeners, bubonic plague and toothache.And that my friends, is why we love to wear this beautiful pendant around our neck forever on our life adventure.

STORE WITH CARE
When not in use, store your jewellery in our signature jewellery box or the suade travel pouch.
When not being worn, jewellery likes dry, cool places away from direct sunlight.
CLEAN GENTLY
When its time to give your jewellery some TLC, use the complimentary Suade pouch or soft dry cloth to wipe away any dirt or oils. For a deeper clean, use a soft toothbrush & water.

Although our pieces are designed to be durable, they will appreciate your gentle touch (And of course, shown a good time when worn!)

For all of our Solid Gold Necklaces, they come on an 18" length chain. If you would like a different length, please reach out to us on info@lunaandrose.co & we will respond within 48 hours.
To find your perfect fit, we suggest using a piece of string or a measuring tape to see where you’d like your necklace to sit. As a general guide:
- 23” chain sits around or just above the nipple line.
- 16” chain rests at the top of the collarbone.

Every piece begins with a thoughtful design, often inspired by nature & travel.
Luna & Rose Founder Rosie, spends hours sketching her thoughts & ideas to bring her unique jewelry concepts to life. This is a process that is constantly 'in progress' as she doesnt focus on traditional seasons of fashion.
WAX
Using traditional wax carving techniques, our talented Wax-smiths carve Rosie's 2D designs into 3D wax forms. This is a fascinating process that can take weeks in itself to perfect the shapes & intricate details of the hand-drawn designs.
Made is our head Wax carver who we have been working with for over 7 years!
SILVERSMITH
Once the wax form has been finalised & set into a master mould, our skilled Goldsmiths handcraft each piece with precision, refining & polishing the solid metal to create timeless, high-quality jewelry.
All of our Solid Gold pieces are handcrafted in New Zealand.
