Top 3 places to get your POKE fix in Bali
It's fair to say that since moving to Bali, this 'Poke' concept has played a large part in my life. With all the fresh vegetables (and fish) available here on the island, it's also fair to say that some of the best Poke I have ever had is here in Bali! Being a vegetarian is no issue, with many a Poke places serving up Veggie style Poke bowls that leave even the tuna-consumer asking to try! Below are my favourite places in Bali to get my Poke fix on the island. Without further a-do....
UNI BOWL BALI
These guys only recently opened their doors on the main vein between Canggu & Seminyak (Jl. Batu Belig) but it's fair to say their head chef Marco has been slaying delicious Poke bowls for much longer that that! Uni Bali Bowl is perfectly located between Seminyak & Canggu on Jl. Batu Belig, close to the beach, close to Think Pink Nail Salon for a quick Mani Pedi and on your way to close by Cafe Del Mar & La Laguna beach clubs.... Day set much?
Not only does Uni Bowl serve up delicious Japanese style variations of Poke Bowls, they also have you covered for a 'cool down' in the form of ice cold Smoothie Bowls too! Your biggest task? Deciding which Bowl to try first. Trust me, it's tough! These guys serve their portions large, so go hungry. They're also not light on the toppings which makes for a super fun bowl, with each and every bite an exciting one. COCO POKO
If you're looking for a bowl with a view, look no further than Coco Poke. Located above the cliffs of Uluwatu beach and looking out at the famous surf spot of Ulu's, you can chow down your delicious Poke bowl with not a care in the world.... Other than where's dessert? And dessert they have my friends - Almost as good as your main course, Coco and Poke serve up mouth watering Coconut Ice Cream Soft serve too. Two of my favourite things in one of my favourite spots in Bali? If it wasn't for the hour long drive to Uluwatu from Canggu I can guarantee you I would be here every. single. day. If you've got a spare day on your island vacation, be sure to get down to Uluwatu not only for this delicious Poke but the more amazing sunset you'll see on the island and the beautiful crystal clear waters of Thomas Beach. PS. They also serve fries!

POKE POKE CANGGU
It's thanks for Poke Poke Canggu that my Poke cherry was popped..... all those moons ago. Serving up delicious bowls of health since way back, these guys really know what they're doing. Probably better suited to the fish eaters than the vegetarians (But that's cool because they share a shop with my favourite ROTI CENNAI restaurant which is overloading with vegetarian options!) their bowls are overloaded with fresh ingredients without being too heavy on the rice. Easily located across from Deus ex Machina or very near Beatlenut Cafe, if you've got a day or 2 in Canggu, be sure to pop in and put your Poke craving to rest with these Poke guru's!
