It's Bananarama madness around here with the launch of our new tropical collection (Bananas ringsand all) so I thought I would share one of my favourite all-time naughty but healthy but a little naughty treat.
Good things happen when 2 tropically minded ladies come together and create some La Luna Rose bling! The beach-loving babe of Cali Rebekah Steen (and the babe behind blog Goldfish Kiss) and I got together over a few chin-wag style...
Having just launched our new ‘Las Palma’s’ collection - it’s really got us in a fruity mood! Smoothie bowls are something I have been eating since the day I arrived in Bali over 3 years ago. Now, back in the not-so-tropical land of Melbourne, It’s time to bring the smoothie bowls back into the kitchen! Here is my top 3 after trying many different combinations over the past few weeks. Enjoy!
Let's be honest. Smoothie Bowls are basically dessert for breakfast.
And since our arrival back to the tropics last month, I have been absolutely loving making my morning Smoothie Bowl. Here in Bali we're pretty spoilt for fresh, delicious tropical fruit (Dragonfruit, Mango's, Papaya's, Pineapple and Bananas are on every street corner!) it's rude not to make the most out using them.
I'm not going to lie, if breakfast isn't a quick whip easy to make situation (ie Weetbix) I'm probably going to skip it. That's why I have been making a solid routine of hitting the local fruit markets on a Sunday morning and prepping the fruit in advance. With a big fat stash of frozen fruit in the freezer ready for a week-long of delicious and nutritious breakfasts, your smoothie bowls are only a blend away!
These bad boys are not only a treat on the eyes but for the palette to! Guaranteed 'oooooh' factor, these raw apertisers will keep your guests coming back for more...
Serving up the best smoothie bowls on the island of Bali, find out more about our favourite Nalu bowls and where to get your Smoothie bowl fix on your next visit to the island! Trust me, it's worth it.
I'm not going to lie, as soon as Winter hits I turn on hibernation-mode and bake the house down. Today I came across this recipe here as I have an abundance of blueberries in the freezer at the moment. And whilst I do LOVE a good blueberry smoothie, these cookies were a sure fine way to use up some 'leftovers'! Best described as 'Crispy muffin tops', get prepared for your new favourite blueberry snack..., these guys are more-ish until the last bite!
Current status - Melons on the mind thanks to our pretty cute new Watermelon charms we just launched. As well as looking damn cute around your neck, wrist and fingers, we thought we'd see what else Watermelons were good for. And, well, we discovered something pretty epic.
So, I booked a flight back to my favourite island paradise this week and guess what the first thing that came into my head was? FOOD! That's right, as much as I love the beaches, catching up with my beautiful suppliers, driving my scooter through the rice paddies and watching the sunset with my best pal who lives up there...it is always the food that get's me. (Durrr, when doesn't food get me?!)
As we’re all isolating during these crazy wild times, it’s especially important to slow down and take care of yourself. We’re all dealing with this exceptional situation in our own way, but if we can, we’ll help a little bit! So, here’s a list of what we’ve been doing so far that has helped us take the time to re-center and be patient…
Eating in Canggu. It’s a lot. But in the most mouth watering, overwhelming, delicious, everything's on offer, anxiety inducing how-can-I-fit-it-all-in, kind of way!
I get messages almost every day asking for recommendations of where to eat in Canggu so I thought I would put together a list of my personal favourites. While I can (almost) assure you that there are no bad meals in Canggu, here is a few places that I would recommend to visit when you come to Canggu.
What’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner? It’s a tough question…. Even more so when I am in Bali! Because if you don’t know and havn’t had the joy to experience (yet), Bali, is an absolute paradise for food lovers. There are so many places to discover that I think even a lifetime of eating out won’t be enough to try all these delicious restaurants and cafes. But that’s ok. I have accepted the challenge and love sharing my Bali discoveries with you to enjoy on your next island vacay.
Today, let’s introduce you one of my long time favorite cafés in Canggu; Cinta Café.
One lazy Sunday afternoon (let's be honest, it was probably more a mid-Monday morning I-don't want-to-start-the-week situation) we were 27 profiles deep in the instagram bubble and we discovered this beautiful soul. Ellie Gorgeous Hayden.
With her endless Summer-loving snaps, endless travel and carefree attitude oozing through every photo in her feed, we knew she was one of us. Next minute, we're chatting all things island life from tropical afternoons on Hamilton Island to working the seasons on Rottnest Island - we found our match!
Ok...Full disclaimer... this was one of the hardest articles to write, purely due to the fact that there is literally SO much good food in Berawa it's almost impossible to choose. You could eat at a different cafe for each day for weeks and not be disappointed! So, I've done the hard yards, eaten... returned...eaten again & decided on these top 5 places for breaky in Berawa.
Bali is quickly becoming the 'Ibiza of Asia' and it's doing a pretty good job at it, I must say! With an expansive and vast coastline on offer, some of the most creative humans on this planet mixed with delicious fresh produce, Bali is a pretty great starting point to create a killer beach club. Over the years we have slowly making our way around them all (If that's even possible) and today I present to you 5 of my personal favourites to date. Note, these are all BEACH clubs, not cliff top clubs in which we will get to them soon in another blog post!
