  • How to ACTUALLY fold your scarf....We've got the Pro in!

    June 12, 2018 3 min read

Neck scarves, Got a bunch? Great, because we’re right into them and your collection is about to grow a whole lot bigger with our new Santa Chiara collection that just launched! They’re a girl’s best styling accessory that’s so small and so versatile you can even fit it in your purse. (Better yet, style it ON your purse.) Personally I don’t travel without a couple of neck scarves…. Always have and always will (Ever since my Grandma gave me a couple of her beautiful printed scarves and I travelled with them for 9 months through the US & Central America!)

Late last year we launched our first ever collection of printed neck scarves with our ‘Pastel Paradise’ collection. They’ve been flying off the online store racks ever since, into their pretty little gift boxes & shipped out many - a international letterbox. With our brand new Santa Chiara collection of Printed Scarves that just landed online I thought I’d stop by and share some styling tips on how to actually fold these bad boys. After all, once I learnt (And nailed) the art of this ‘ scarf roll’ I very rarely leave the house without a scarf on me somewhere!

These are my personal 2 favourite ways how to style our Square Neck Scarves. We’d love to know how you wear yours! Send us a snap wearing your neck scarves so we can share them & get inspired. Without further ado….

Look 1. Start with the scarf ‘wrong side up’ (Print facing down). From here, start from 2 opposite corners and start folding each corner neatly in and evenly in about 5cm folds until you get to the centre.

Once you reach the centre, fold the scarf in half so you have one long skinny pretty looking sausage. This is your base roll. From here you can neatly tie the scarf around your neck (Tight but not too tight!). Not only does this look awesome, it keeps you warm and quickly dresses up a T-Shirt, Dress or styles a Shirt. Nail this look!

Or you can wrap it around your ponytail / top knot! (My favourite for adding a bit of fun to an everyday hairstyle!)

Perhaps you want to keep your flyaways down? Wrap it around your head with the bow sitting slightly to the side.

Or another favourite look of mine is to fold it in a knot on your purse/handbag.

Look 2. This is a slightly looser look and one that’s great for larger protection of your chest (Always looking for the best sun protection!) or your head.

Again, start with the scarf ‘wrong side up’ (Print facing down). From here, fold it in half on the diagonal and start folding from the FOLD in 5-6cm folds. Don’t fold it all the way, leave a little ‘tail’.

This is your base, again, to do many things! You can wrap it around your neck for a more covered neckscarf look (Keep in loose for the best look).

You can also tie it around your head with the tie at the back under your hair.
