Looking to get a little creative this Easter? Perhaps you're heading to a friends place to stay and need a gift to take. This chocolate Easter Bunny Bark makes for a perfect Gift... and a perfect Easter weekend treat! Not only does it look super cute (and fancy) but you can completely customise it to your own personal choices. You can either use Dark, Milk or White chocolate for the base as well as selecting your favourite things to smash on top for the decorative side of things.

So, head to your local supplier & get choosing, this is one easy and super fun Easter recipe to whip up... almost anytime of the year!

    INGREDIENTS:

    • 350gm of your favourite chocolate (Dark or Milk), finely chopped
    • 100gm white chocolate, finely chopped
    • 10 to 12 small milk chocolate or Marshmallow bunnies (I personally prefer the marshmallow ones if you can find them to mix up the flavours!)
    • 1/2 a packet of Crispy mini Eggs (I like the M & M ones, but whatever your local grocer has)
    • 2 Tbsp. sprinkles
    • 2 Tbsp. crushed nuts (optional)
    METHOD:
    1. Smash the bag of micro eggs on one side to crush some of the eggs,
    2. Put the Milk/Dark chocolate pieces into a heatproof bowl. Bring a pot of water to the boil and set the heatproof bowl on top, making sure the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl. Leave the chocolate to melt, stirring occasionally.
    3. Meanwhile, grease a tin about 20cm x 26cm and line with nonstick baking paper or cling-film. Once the milk chocolate has melted completely (not bubbling!), pour into the prepared tin and spread out to the edges. (If you don’t have a tin the right size, then lay a piece of nonstick baking paper on a baking tray and just spread the chocolate out to around the same size.)
    4. In another clean bowl, add the white chocolate pieces and set over the pan of boiling water to melt. Once melted, drizzle over the milk chocolate and use a cocktail stick or skewer to swirl the milk and white chocolate together.
    5. Sprinkle the whole and crushed eggs over the swirled chocolate. Push in some marshmallow bunnies and chicks and lastly, sprinkle the crushed nuts. Leave in a cool place to set, around 2 hours, before breaking up into pieces.
    6. Try not to eat it all in one go....
This Chocolate Easter Bunny Bark makes for great gifts between friends and loved ones around Easter time. Wrap a few pieces up in recycled brown paper with a bow around the top & you're ready to gift! Or pop a few pieces inside a re-usable jar with a piece of fabric on top of the lid.
