BALI BEST EATS: CAFE BALI SEMINYAK
Positioned in amongst the hustle and bustle of Jl. Kayu Ayu (ie. The main street of Seminyak) lies one of Bali’s ‘original’ café’s serving up a fusion of delicious local Indonesian cruising + an endless list of western favorites. No matter what the heat is doing to your appetite, I can guarantee you there’s something to tantalize your taste buds on the menu of Café Bali!
My personal favorite is their ‘Lumpia’ (Spring Rolls) which is served up in fresh crispy Cos lettuce + herbs and perfectly deep fried in a kind of vermicelli wrapping… Words can’t quite describe this flavor explosion, I suggest you try them for yourself! (See below for a visual!)
The Café has a lovely relaxed vibe to it, built within a large Javanese Joglo style, Café Bali is a refreshing breath of culture in amongst the madness of the Seminyak Shopping / Restaurant strip and is the perfect place to escape the heat & enjoy a great meal.
Already eaten or not super hungry? They do a great coffee espresso which comes served with a little slice of biscotti, did we not mention it’s the perfect oasis in amongst the heart of Seminyak!?
While we’ve only been lucky enough to visit Café Bali Seminyak for a few lunches, they also have a little speak easy side bar which looks equally as comforting & inviting and no doubt serves up some killer cocktails. Looking for a little date spot? We couldn’t think of a more cosy place in Seminyak to start (or end!) your date off with.
