Our first photoshoot for our new Petitesrange of jewellery was something I was super excited about getting involved in, all I had to do was find a super cute little girl, a location, photographer and make sure we had all our samples right?! Kind of. That was until I realised how much little kids HATE staying still for longer than 3 seconds. Eek, aannndd our gorgeous model was not even 2.... Team that with some teeny tiny items of jewellery that require the most patience to shoot at the best of times and we were in for a challenge! I was lucky that our amazing photographer Olivia Martin-Mcguire was all over it, having 2 little girls herself and we managed to make some magic!
We discovered the beautiful Estonian dream-girl Katri a couple of years back where all great friends of this modern age are found, on instagram. Her life in squares looked pretty epic and one that aligns with the La Luna Rose girl perfectly. So, we started chatting and have been pen-pals ever since. Totes cute. Now, time to introduce you to this full-time traveling gypsy & find out how she manages a life of endless travel to beautiful tropical locations!
Having just launched our new ‘Las Palma’s’ collection - it’s really got us in a fruity mood! Smoothie bowls are something I have been eating since the day I arrived in Bali over 3 years ago. Well, this is me, Rosie and the creator behind all this delicious jewellery. Something I have been really excited about with launching our blog is getting to share with you a real 'Behind-the-scenes' look at what we get up to on a daily basis and what goes into creating each & every beautiful La Luna Rose piece. Over the next few months I want to share with you the stories of our makers, our processes and how our designs come to fruition.
I first met Stu from BNVVT three and half years ago over a few Bintangs & a sunset down at our local Berawa beach in Bali. We instantly bonded over our shared experiences of moving to the island to design & launch e-commerce businesses.... and the ups & downs that this brought!
Our Bintang sessions quickly became a regular occurrence and the rest is history. Stu is one talented man who creates some beautiful leather products (that I only wish I could look as stylish pulling them off!) An avid believer in daily balance, we recently sat down with Stu to hear more about building his Leather Accessories empire on the island of Bali...
I'm not going to lie, as soon as Winter hits I turn on hibernation-mode and bake the house down. Today I came across this recipe here as I have an abundance of blueberries in the freezer at the moment. And whilst I do LOVE a good blueberry smoothie, these cookies were a sure fine way to use up some 'leftovers'! Best described as 'Crispy muffin tops', get prepared for your new favourite blueberry snack..., these guys are more-ish until the last bite!
We made it! After 2 months in the tropics, avoiding temperatures below 20 degrees, we are back in our Australian home town of Melbourne for the Finders Keepers Design Markets this weekend and couldn't be more excited!
