Nalu Bowls is Bali's first smoothie bowl shack catering to those who crave a sweet & refreshing treat on those balmy Bali days (So basically all of us!). First opening in Jl. Drupadi in Seminyak, Nalu Bowls now has over 4 locations across the more populated tourist areas of Bali – One can never be too far from a Nalu Bowl!
The concept is simple and the product is beyond delicious. Inspired by Hawaii and the culture that revolves around surfing and tropical ingredients, Nalu Bowls is the perfect pre and post surf meal. Selections of frozen fruit, blended together and topped with crunchy, flavoursome toppings. Each Bowl is cleverly named after world-famous and favourite surf breaks around the world adding to the ‘tropical holiday – island - vibes feel of eating here.
A personal favourite of mine is most definitely the Ulluwatu (also conveniently one of my favourite spots on Bali). Frozen Dragon Fruit, Banana, Papaya, Raspberry and Apple Juice, topped with strawberries, mango, coconut flakes & honey..mmmm, my mouth is watering just writing this!
Nalu bowls is definitely one of my top go-to breaky spots in Bali and I would highly recommend a bowl or two on your next visit here. While the Smoothie bowl competition is high here on the island (Especially in Canggu) with nearly every cafe serving up their version, but I'm pretty confident that these guys know what they're doing and how to blend a bowl to perfection!
NALU: HAWAIIAN word for WAVE.

There's a whole lot of chat out there about 'Organic Cotton' but is there really a difference between Conventional Cotton & Organic Cotton? Oh YOU BETCHA there is! And we're here to help shed some light....
Laying it down, Organic Cotton is planted, produced and manufactured Organically with zero use of pesticides, fertilisers or GMO seeds to make the plants grow faster. It is also produced in toxic-free dirt.
Plastic MEGA un-fantastic. We're all well aware that the plastic fantastic phenomenon of 60's and 70's was never well researched or thought through... Or maybe it was and the convenience of this miracle material and the financial gains that were able to be made from this new material well outweighed the negatives. Fast forward 50 years and now our planet is suffering, majorly! This month we're focussing on 'Plastic Free July' and sharing ways in which you can simply decrease exposure and use of this material from your daily habits.
